About the lighthouse:

Originally built in 1767 on Morris Island, it was destroyed during the Civil War and rebuilt in 1876. The tower is 161 feet tall and contains a revolving beacon that emanates at 125 feet above sea level. Overall lamp height is 25".

About the lighthouse:

Originally built in 1797 and located at the far eastern end of Long Island, New York, Montauk Point Lighthouse was crafted by local artisans of fine-hammered Chatham freestone. In 1860, the tower was rebuilt to increase its overall height to 108 feet, so its light could be seen 19 miles at sea. Overall lamp height is 24".
